Going the extra mile for a reason
At Nannycare, we go the extra mile to provide your baby with what we believe to be the very best quality goat milk, especially suited for babies. That’s why we source our goat milk from dedicated family farms in New Zealand, known for their pristine environment, high farming standards, and commitment to sustainability.
Introducing our Family Co-Operative
Our farmers are all part of the Dairy Goat Co-operative, working together to ensure the highest quality and uniform standards. This matters, because much milk used for baby formula is bought from a mix of unrelated farms, each with their own practices, often focused on cheese-making. Cheese milk is bred for firmer curds, which aren’t as gentle for babies.
By contrast, our Co-operative produces goat milk exclusively for baby formula — never for cheese. From herd genetics to daily care, every step is considered to ensure naturally softer curds1, perfectly suited for little tummies from the very start.
Because great formula begins with the right kind of milk.
Trust and Transparency
With Nannycare, there’s no faceless supply chain. Families can feel confident knowing that Nannycare milk is cared for at every stage — from farm to processing — with complete focus and traceability.
Our Purpose: Farm to Family with Care
Respect for our key ingredient is at the heart of everything we do.
- Our goat milk is nurtured on dedicated family farms with care and attention to detail.
- It is transported gently in special tankers to the Co-operative’s own processing plant.
- From farm to formula, every step is designed to protect the quality of our milk.
Minimal Processing
Our deep understanding of goat milk shapes the recipe of our Nannycare Follow on formula. We process gently and only as much as needed — avoiding unnecessary steps that use skimmed milk or whey powders, which are by-products already stripped apart and heat-treated.
By avoiding these, we:
- Retain more of the natural nutrients in whole goat milk and its natural fat.
- Keep whey levels natural — goat milk already contains whey, and the landmark clinical trial2 that changed the regulations showed there’s no need to add more.
- Reduce extra heat steps and processing, keeping the milk closer to its natural form.
Because sometimes, less really is more.
Sustainability at Our Core
Parents often wonder: if our milk comes from New Zealand, what does that mean for sustainability? The truth is, local doesn’t always equal lower carbon footprint.
Our New Zealand farmers have long been early adopters of sustainable practices, earning a Bronze EcoVadis award that places them in the top 19% of dairy producers globally. And here in the UK, Nannycare is certified by ClimatePartner.
We’re proud to be the only UK goat milk formula with independent sustainability certification. When we talk about sustainability, it isn’t marketing spin — it’s verified.
Thank you
